Papua New Guinea is not the most developed country. In fact, it does not have a road network that connects all the cities together. Heck, it doesn't even have a road network that connects New Guinea in the North and Papua in the South. As such, the country has quite a lot of jungles and dirt tracks which is exactly what one needs for motocrossing aside from getting a dirt bike.
If you manage to get yourself a dirt bike here in Papua New Guinea, then be prepared to have a lot of fun. You can get a dirt bike from Ela Motors then you can join the PNG motorcycle club. You can find them hanging out at the car club. I got invited by a friend to join them on a weekend fun run barbeque one time and I brought a camera with me. I have to say, the potential for dirt biking is huge! With all the dirt tracks criss-crossing all over the country, you can go on so many tracks all the time.
Anyway, I'm posting some photos here so you can see what it's like. Mind you, these photos are tame since the track was. There are some dirt tracks though that are tough even for seasoned bikers. Enjoy.
I'll start off with some bikes.

the riders after a fun run |
It was a fun day and I highly recommend people to try it out. If you can't ride a bike, you can get an ATV with 4-wheels. Just go easy on the turns. Oh, and don't forget to bring the bug spray and a change of clothes! It does get awfully muddy out there.
